Pebblepad is an online, real time platform where midwifery students document their clinical experiences directly onto their mobile devices. Our students have been using PebblePad for some years now, so the initial hesitance in allowing students to access mobile devices in the clinical areas has changed as it is now a more recognised practice. We suggest that as a common courtesy, students ensure that they inform the women in their care and their supervising midwife or doctor that they are using their device in the capacity of clinical learning.
